Policeman Kills Robber During Attempted Theft in General Rodríguez

A Bonaerense Police agent killed a criminal during a robbery attempt in General Rodríguez. The incident occurred when the thief, accompanied by an accomplice on a motorcycle, attacked the officer and his daughter, causing them to fall from their motorcycle. In response, the agent fired at the criminals, seriously injuring one of them, who died at the scene. The scene was witnessed by bystanders and captured in images that were later disseminated.

The Federal Police launched a preliminary investigation after the incident. The confiscation of the officer's service weapon, as well as other elements related to the case, was ordered. The accomplice who managed to flee the crime scene is being sought by authorities. Emergency medical services arrived at the scene and confirmed the death of the criminal, an 18-year-old, due to injuries to the chest and back.

The General Rodríguez Prosecutor's Office took legal action, including the temporary detention of the agent and his suspension from duties. It was determined that the deceased thief was not carrying a firearm, but was using a tool to intimidate the victims. It was found that he had a history of theft and that minutes before the robbery, he and his accomplice had committed another assault on a young man.

In the first assault, the criminals stole a bag of food from a person, but this person was able to secure another bag with personal belongings. Upon the arrival of the police, the criminals fled and later encountered the agent and his daughter on the motorcycle. At the crime scene, forensic examinations were conducted by the Prosecutor's Office and the Gendarmerie to clarify the facts.
